Ryan Phillippe appeared on The Howard Stern Show on Thursday (March 20) where he was questioned about a string of rumored hook-ups with various Hollywood starlets, and asked how he feels about his ex-wife, Reese Withersppon, and her romance with Jake Gyllenhaal.

In the candid interview, 33-year-old Phillippe discussed what lead to the breakdown of his marriage, saying that the decision to split in 2007 was "mutual" and "leading up to it, we had been spending so much time apart. That’s a huge part of it. There are so many obstacles." 

When questioned about Witherspoon’s reported romance with Gyllenhaal, the actor said, "He’s a good dude.  I love her and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is."

Stern put him on the spot asking about various relationships that gossip columns have recently speculated about.

According to a report, Phillippe and Britney Spears once had a tryst in a nightclub bathroom, which Phillippe denied, saying, "Not true,", also nixing his rumored romance with Ashlee Simpson.

"Again, not true," he responded. "I stood next to her at a place called Les Deux, a club in Los Angeles."

Stern then stated, "I know Lindsay Lohan wanted you," to which Phillippe simply answered, "Yeah." 

He also denied an off-screen romance with his ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ co-star, Jennifer Love Hewitt but admitted he was tempted.

"I did not have sex with [Jennifer]," he explains. "It did occur to me. She was very young and her mother was there all the time… but I was in a hot tub with her when she was 18."
