Ryan Reynolds Picked As The Green Lantern

After much back and forth, the coveted role of the Green Lantern has been handed to Ryan Reynolds for the upcoming movie adaptation of the comic book hero, after reports that Justin Timberlake, The Hangover‘s Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto were in the running.
According to Variety, production on the flick is expected to commence in January and lays the groundwork for Reynolds to become the next big thing following roles in Wolverine and the hit comedy The Proposal.
The Green Lantern has been a DC Comic’s staple since he first appeared in July 1940.
