Sad Breaking News: Patrick Swayze, 57, Dies Of Pancreatic Cancer

Patrick Swayze has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer, passing away Monday at the age of 57. “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side, after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” his publicist, Annett Wolf, confirmed in a statement.
Swayze was “a warrior” in his cancer fight, his brother Don said of his actor brother, who continued working on his A&E series The Beast even as he underwent chemotherapy.
About his prognosis, he admitted in a Barbara Walters interview that aired in January, “There’s a lot of fear here. Yeah, I’m scared. Yeah, I’m angry. Yeah, I’m [asking], ‘Why me?’ ”
Twitter tributes have already begun pouring in for the Dirty Dancing star, who leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Lisa Niemi.

My father past away 5 years ago at the age of 42 from the same illness as Patick Swayze. I know how it feels watching your loved one in pain and leave us for a better place with no more suffering. I feel for Patick's family and friends and my preyers are with you. Patrick Swayze was my favorite actor and he'll be remembered forever.

Another talented star gone. May he rest in peace and may his death be an inspiration in finding a cure for pancreatic cancer. As he said earlier this year "I want to last until they find a cure, which means I'd better get a fire under it."

i never get tired of watching Ghost everytime i want to watch it and still crying while watching it. I bought original copy of it in vcd (no dvd yet that time) and a copy in dvd coz its one of my favorite movie. I also watched To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything (coz im a gay) patrick was great there as a gay. Now im crying coz you're gone May you rest in peace. thank you for sharing your talents that will always be remembered.

I grew up with a great love for Patrick Swayze! That love has remained with me throughout my 31 yrs! He was a wonderful actor! Lisa… he will always be watching over you! He will be missed by all!

I live in northern Ca. I am a registered nurse who has seen alot of peole battle with cancer. Patrick was also so dignified, never gave up. He was determined to make the best of whatever time he had left on the earth. I am a huge fan, literally have watched every movie of his. My husband and I we 17 and 15 yrs of age when we meet, 22 urs ago. What I admire most about Patrick besides his beautiful emotion filled dancing was his relationship with Lisa. Every time he talked about her his eyes just lit up!! Thier deep love and connection to each other was easy to see. He is at rest now. My prayers are for Lisa and patsy, the rest of the Swayze family. I wish you peace, comfort when you need it, and may the tabloids finally leave ya'll alone. God Bless Jennifer Settlemoir
