Sesame Street is taking on Mad Men in the upcoming season, with the kids show set to parody the critically acclaimed series.
At a panel discussion to chat about the 40th anniversary of the tv staple, Sesame Workshop’s Dr. Rosemarie Truglio adds, “Sesame Street has always been written on two levels. And the children don’t understand these parodies, but the adult does… Think about the title Mad Men and think about the emotional curriculum that might be linked to that.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sesame Street will introduce a new character this season, Murray Muppet, and uses CGI for the very first time in it’s history.
