Sarah Jessica Parker has leaked some casting info about Sex & The City 2 during a promotional interview for Did you hear about the Morgans?, revealing that John Corbett – who played her fiance Aiden on the TV series – may make an appearance.
John Corbett was spotted in Morocco around the same time SATC 2 was shooting on location there, and Parker says she “can’t confirm nor deny” that he reprises his role of Aiden in the movie.
“It might have just been coincidental that he was traveling,” she told MTV.
“I can confirm that there is no Jennifer Hudson,” she added, referring to the role that the singer played as Carrie’s assistant in the first movie.
Parker also reveals that the sequel is intended to be “fun and light”, unlike the first movie, which followed darker storylines of betrayal, loss and adultery.
“It had a lot of sadness in it,” Parker admits.
“It was bleak — intentionally so — and I thought rather bold. And this is really like the antidote, [like those] black-and-white road movies, or that’s what we hope. We’re hoping that it’s fun and light. It feels like a soufflé. We’ve traveled a great distance to film it, and I think we have beautiful cinematic images and pictures, and I think everybody else is really good in it. I’m probably not, but I’ve enjoyed doing it.”
