Shanna Moakler is shooting a print advertisement slamming Proposition 8 – the initiative that bans gay marriage in California – saying that “marriage is something not God, not the state or country can solidify, but between two people who love each other.”
News of the advertisement comes weeks after Miss California Carrie Prejean spoke out against gay marriage at the Miss USA beauty pageant.
Moakler, who is the director of the Miss California USA pageant, was upset at Prejean’s remarks, and publicly stated that the comments did not represent the views of the pageant or its sponsors.
“I believe Prop 8 lead a campaign of confusion and never made clear what was being asked of the people,” Moakler says now, in a statement to Usmagazine.com.
“I find most people have a problem with the word marriage. What I hope for is helping others understand ‘civil union’ and then one day helping people learn ‘marriage’ is something not God, not the state or country can solidify, but between two people who love each other.”
Joining Moakler in the print advert will be two former Miss California contestants, Raquel Beezley and Tamiko Nash.

Like most hetero people Prejean’s environment is mostly hetero, to them marriage can only be one man one woman, it’s just that nobody thinks about minorities really and she’s proof to that since she said she was glad in America people could choose, this shows how much she knows about gay people, human rights.
Beauty contest concerns women, I haven’t heard of a Mr. America, and it shows women who thrive one the one asset they have which beauty, they don’t mind being objectified as long as the cash register keeps ringing. Had Perez Hilton asked about her thoughts on prostitution she probably would have answered that it should remain illegal without realizing that she was in a way just doing that herself.
« La beauté n’est qu’un cadavre dissimulé par la faveur de l’âge ».

Correction:”to thrive on the one asset they have”.
Addendum: If we accept that women are different from men why can’t we accept gay people’s difference.
Same sex marriage can only be beneficial to the states that adopt it and it is a step forward to a modern society.
