Shannen Doherty has explained why she plans on sticking around on the new ’90210′ for only four episodes and not become part of the full-time cast.

Fans of the former Beverly Hills bad girl Brenda Walsh have been petitioning the actress to stick around in the famous zipcode, but Doherty is adamant the role is not permanent.

“I think there’s such a thing as overstaying your welcome,” Doherty explains to Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t want to do that.  I want fans to walk away with love in their hearts for Brenda.

“I’ve worked for 27 years and I’ve been given a lot of extra chances.  The only reason I’ve been working this long and this successfully is because I have fans that follow me from show to show to show.”
