Sienna Miller has won her court case against two UK tabloids after they were found guilty of breaching her privacy, and have been ordered to pay the actress 35,000 pounds in damages.
London’s High Court approved the terms of the settlement, with the Sun and News of the World agreeing to pay Miller’s legal costs and damages.
“We acknowledged that on the specific facts and circumstances of this case you had a reasonable expectation of privacy in respect of the information and the photographs that we published,” a letter from the newspaper’s senior lawyer, Tom Crone, said
“We also accept that we should not have published such information or photographs.”
Lawyers for Miller are still pursuing Big Pictures (UK) limited as the actress states they invaded her privacy and harrassed her, a claim the agency refutes and is contesting in court next year.
