Action star Sylvester Stallone has set a new film record for on-screen deaths in a movie, with his latest film, ‘Rambo: To Hell and Back’, clocking up 236 killings during its 93-minute running time – or 2.5 deaths per minute.
The 61-year-old action star reprised his role of John Rambo, the muscle-bound Vietnam War veteran, for the film, which is the fourth installment in the film franchise. ‘
‘To Hell and Back’, which is the first ‘Rambo’ film in the series since 1988’s ‘Rambo III’, was also directed by Stallone.
The film follows Rambo as he takes a group of mercenaries into war-torn Myanmar in search of missing Christian aid workers.
Stallone is reportedly set to make a fifth ‘Rambo’ movie following the impressive box office success of this latest release, which took an impressive $18.2m at US cinemas last weekend.
Studio boss Harvey Weinstein said the box office success of this latest installment has convinced filmmakers to plunge ahead with a fifth film in the series.
"We’re planning another adventure for Rambo. He’s been to Vietnam, Afghanistan and Myanmar in the last three movies, so we’re bringing him back to the US," Weinstein said.
Film executives are reportedly keen to move forward with the new project before Stallone gets too old to cope with the gruelling action scenes.
Stallone recently revived another of his vintage characters, Rocky Balboa, in the 2006 film of the same name.
It was the sixth film in the ‘Rocky’ franchise and came sixteen years after ‘Rocky V’, which was released in 1990.

This is BS.
There are much bigger body counts in the following movies:
LotR: Return of the King, 300, LotR: Two Towers, Grindhouse, Hard Boiled, We Were Soldiers, & Saving Private Ryan.
Did whoever wrote this even bother to do any reserch, or did he or she just make it up?
