Snoop Dogg has denied stories that his wife Shante was dead and locked in his basement, after it was reported on the California Highway Patrol website.

At 3:19pm on Friday (April 10) an anonymous tipster posted, “The word is ‘Snoop Doggy Dog’ has the dead body of his wife in his basement.”

However, the rapper’s rep released the following statement denying the report:

“Of course, the CHP rumors are absolutely not true, totally ridiculous, and most of all hurtful to Snoop Dogg and his family.

Snoop, Shante and their family are all alive and well – we appreciate the fans concerns for their safety. Anything said or reported on regarding the death of Shante Broadus is totally false.”
