This is just another example of how our media has a total disregard to what is right and promoting one of the most abominable acts that sickens God– the act of homosexuality. I was so disheartened when I found out that George Takei was a queer. I have been a Star Trek fan all of my life-53 yrs. I have since discontinued in that hobby. I will continue to pray for Mr. Takei and trust that he will come to the lord and repent of that dispicable act and I will also pray that the media will stop glorifying sin.

Michael Dekle’s appallingly bigoted remarks do nothing but shame him; he calls himself a Star Trek fan, but it’s obvious he’s no such thing. From its earliest days, at the very core of Trek was a spirit of tolerance and diversity wholly at odds with Michael’s vile homophobia. Also, a recurrent subtext within Star Trek was one of subtle atheism. The late Gene Roddenberry was fond of the theme wherein advanced science and technology would seem like magic to primitive minds. Michael’s is one such primitive mind. I’m glad he’s chosen to discontinue his Trek hobby – his kind of hate-speak has no place in the bright future imagined in the franchise. Abominable acts that sicken God? Embarrassing rubbish. I’m sure there IS no God, but if there were, it’s hurtful bigots like this that would sicken him, not the likes of George Takei. Good riddance to you, Michael.

I totally agree with Les’s comments. I have a system whereby I always assume all male actors are homosexual unless they prove me wrong. It’s never let me down yet! It doesn’t matter anyway, because they are ACTING.
