Steve-O’s Home Video Rant Released From Hospital

March 14th, 2008

‘Jackass’ star Steve-O has released an internet video showing his behavior while "under the influence of a very dangerous amount of drugs", and has explained his admission to a psychiatric ward saying, "I’m not getting out of this "insane asylum" any time in the immediate future."

Reports had been circulating that Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, had been admitted to the mental ward of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, after threatening to kill himself over a broken romance last Sunday (March 9).

However, Glover explains in a posting on his website that:

"Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, Big Regg, Swizz, Rick Kosick, Dimitry Elyaschevich, Cordell Mansfield, and Trip Taylor came to my home and, physically, forced me into the hospital (where I was placed on a 5150 "hold’)… At this point, I am no longer "5150-status" (which was the three-day "hold" on me, resulting from suicidal behavior). I am now "5250-status" (which means that the "hold" has been extended to 14 days, for the exact same reasons)."

In the disturbing video, which appears to have been filmed following his recent arrest, Glover appears extremely scattered while discussing God and the fourth dimension. There is a white substance evident in his nostril.

The stuntman wrote a message to fans while in the psychiatric ward and has asked his assistant, Jen Moore, "to share them with as many people as possible on the Internet (rather than try to sell a ‘juicy’ story to the tabloid press for profit.)"

Additionally, TMZ.com reported Thursday (March 13) that Glover was charged with felony possession of cocaine when authorities found a small amount of the drug in his home following his arrest on March 3 after a dispute with a neighbor.
