Team Behind Hot Fuzz Back For Third Film

April 4th, 2008

Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright, the team behind the hit movies ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’, have announced plans for the third film in their "blood and ice-cream trilogy."

Following the success of their first two films, the pair are commencing work writing a new movie tentatively titled ‘The World’s End’ as part of a deal with Working Title studio.

Wright told the BBC that, "Working Title have been fantastic to work with and hugely instrumental in bringing the work of myself, Simon, and [producer] Nira Park to the screen."

In an interview with the Guardian newspaper, Pegg explained that each of their movies have featured a different type of Cornetto ice-cream and this tradition will be continued in their new production.

"Shaun of the Dead has strawberry, Hot Fuzz has the original Cornetto flavour, and there will be a mint-choc chip in the third film," he said.

The Celebrity Truth caught up with Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright on the blue carpet of the Australian premiere of ‘Hot Fuzz’ last year.
