Terrence Howard has revealed that the first knowledge he had of his character in ‘Iron Man’ being recast for the sequel, was when he read it in a magazine.
Talking with NPR about the release of his album ‘Shine Through It,’ Howard addressed reports that Don Cheadle would take over the role of Jim Rhodes in ‘Iron Man 2′ due out in 2010.
“It was the surprise of a lifetime,” he explained. “I read something in the trades that implicated it was about money or something, but apparently the contracts that we write and sign aren’t worth the paper that they’re printed on, sometimes.”
He adds, “Promises aren’t kept, and good faith negotiations aren’t always held up… (The contract) just… up and vanished.”
