Terri Irwin has revealed that her son Bob is taking after his famous father, the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, after he was recently bitten by a non-venomous snake.
At an in-store appearance at New York’s FAO Schwartz toy store, Irwin repeated the story of the incident, saying that Bob "picked one of them up and it bit him on the finger, and he was so proud to have copped his first hit".
The four-year-old was unfazed by the bite, Irwin said.
"He said, ‘I hope it wasn’t venomous,’ so I assured Robert I wouldn’t actually let him play with venomous snakes," she explained.
The Irwin family were celebrating the launch of Bindi Irwin’s new action figure doll, with the nine-year-old also signing action figures of her late father.
Steve Irwin died in 2006 after a stingray’s barb pierced his heart while film an underwater documentary.
