According to the first federal filing for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s charitable organization, the Jolie Pitt Foundation, the superstar couple have donated in excess of US$8 million in 2006, giving mostly to Doctors Without Borders and the Global AIDS Alliance.
The expecting parents, known for their humanitarian side, continue to support various charities with their foundation such as the Namibia Red Cross and Global Green USA. They even gave $20,000 to an art park located in Los Angeles.
Pitt has also recently started the Make It Right Foundation, where he’s attempting to rebuild New Orlean’s Lower Ninth Ward that was left in ruin after Hurricane Katrina, and has contributed to the Not On Our Watch fund for Darfur.
Documents released about the Jolie Pitt Foundation also suprisingly reveal that expenses for the organization only totalled $27,000, however, this is expected to increase in the next filing to due the foundation’s growth.

Brad and Angelina do a remarkable amount of good for the world and its people at the same time as raising a beautiful family. I find it hard to believe that people still find points about them to criticise.

By the way, I was not suggesting that this article was criticising them, I just wanted to point out that a lot of people do that.
