The Osbournes Back With Variety Show

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and their kids have signed on to host a new weekly television variety show that’s set to debut later this year on the Fox network in the U.S.

The concept for the six-part series is based on the 1970′s variety shows that featured Sonny and Cher and Donnie and Marie amongst others and will feature musical performances, comedy skits, pre-taped segments and audience interaction.

“We’ve been talking about how to renew the variety show concept and make it feel new for years now,” Mike Darnell, head of alternative programming for Fox, said adding they plan to “tap into what the Osbournes do best, which is be themselves.”
