Tiger Woods Pulls Out Of Tournament Due To Injuries

Tiger Woods has been forced to withdraw from the 2009 Chevron World Challenge this week, due to injuries he sustained in a car crash last Friday (November 27).

“I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week,” Woods said on his official website. “I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I’m very sorry that I can’t be there.”

Ongoing rumors about the cause of the crash continue, after the National Enquirer alleged that the golf champ has been having an affair with New York nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel.

Woods has also announced that he will not be participating in any further tournaments in 2009 and “will return to action next year.”
