Tom Cruise Honors Paul Newman In Essay

Tom Cruise has written a personal essay about his friend, the late Paul Newman, to be published this Friday in People magazine.
“He was bigger than life to me,” Tom writes about his ‘The Color of Money’ co-star who lost his battle with cancer last Friday (September 26). “But he always had a way of putting us all at ease.
“He called me ‘Cruiser’ or sometimes ‘Kid’. We would grab time to hang out whenever we could find it.”
Cruise concludes his essay saying, “His life will forever inspire me. The world has lost an icon; I have lost an idol.”

it’s hard not to admire Paul Newman for putting his money to work in such productive ways, such as his Newman’s Own line–high quality stuff and the proceeds go to good causes… very smart.
