A new unauthorised biography on Tom Cruise has thrust the actor and his religion, the Church of Scientology, into the spotlight, with relevations of an alleged Scientology-endorsed blackmail against Nicole Kidman, and claims that Cruise’s daughter, Suri, may not biologically be his – all of which Cruises’s representatives have vehemently denied.
Andrew Morton, who has previously written a controversial biography on Princess Diana, turned his sights on Cruise and his famed Scientology, stating in his new book that the church was responsible for the breakdown of Cruise’s marriage to Kidman.
Morton sources information provided by a former senior Scientologist, who claims that Kidman "hated" the church but agreed to not speak out against them for fear of losing her adopted children when the couple split in 2000.
In an extract of the book, published by The Mail on Sunday in the UK, Morton writes, "The fear was that a lukewarm Nicole could fatally compromise Tom’s commitment to his faith."
Morton also alleges that Cruise has become the de-facto second in charge of the Church of Scientology and that David Miscavige, the church’s leader, consults with Cruise on "every aspect of planning and policy", including selection of his staff at his mansion. Morton claims that Miscavige even accompanied the star and his wife, Katie Holmes, on their honeymoon.
However, the most damning allegation states that Cruise’s daughter, Suri, is believed to have been conceived using the sperm of L. Ron Hubbard, the late founder of Scientology.
Cruise’s lawyer and friend, Bert Fields, has slammed the book, telling The Mail on Sunday that it is "a pack of lies".
"The book suggests Scientology somehow runs his career. I’ve represented him for over 20 years, and I’ve never discussed his business with David Miscaige. It’s poorly researched and badly written, and it’s not really even about Tom Cruise, it’s an attack on Scientology," Fields says.
Cruise and the church are believed to be seeking compensation of £50 million from the publishers of ‘Tom Cruise: An Unauthorised Biography’.

Cruise was married to Mimi Rogers they wanted children but couldn’t have any so they divorced. He was married to Nicole Kidman and they wanted children but couldn’t have any so they adopted. Rogers now has two children of her own and Kidman is pregnant. The inability to conceive a child logically falls with Cruise. How then, could he have possibly fathered Suri?

Your logic is flawed. Kidman had a miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. That doesn’t happen by itself.
