True Blood Creator Launches Comic Book Series

The creator of HBO’s True Blood, Alan Ball, announced Friday (April 2) at WonderCon that he plans to spin the hit tv show off into a comic series.
“I am very excited to be introducing the ‘True Blood’ comic book series,” Ball explains. “These graphic novels are a great companion to the series and we are pleased that the popularity of the show is allowing it to branch out into different mediums.”
He adds, “It will definitely exist in the same world, follow the same laws, the same mythology, but they’re different. It’s a completely different story than the one on tv.”
