Never fear Twilight fans, reports that newly appointed director of Eclipse, Bill Condon, was keen to turn the fourth flick in the franchise into a musical is completely false.
Condon, best known for directing Dream Girls and writing the screenplay of Chicago, posted a message on his Facebook clarifying the rumors and talking about the pressure of taking over the movie series.
“I’m pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart,” Condon wrote. “I’ve read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine’s and Chris’s movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine’s notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz’s companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk – a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic.”
He’s invited questions from fans on the site and kicked it off with an answer to the most asked questions, “No, there won’t be any musical numbers.”
Phew!

I am glad to hear this news because I don't think it would be a good road to take.
