Miss Universe Contestants Strip For Controversial Photo Shoot

August 14th, 2010

One from the “We Need To Go On A Healthy Eating Plan” files… This year’s Miss Universe contestants, including US entry Rima Fakih, are embroiled in controversy, after they were photographed in nothing but body paint for a promotional photo shoot.

Fox news has kicked up a fuss, saying that the campaign has “sunk to a new low,” however, pageant organizers have defended their decision.

“I firmly believe, as a woman and as a mom… that you can be the full package,” vice president of public relations Lark-Marie Anton said in  a statement.

“I strongly feel that these girls are the full package,” she added. “I believe you can be sexy and smart and edgy, and I don’t think those things are mutually exclusive.”
