Usher’s fiancé Tameka Foster has spoken out about their wedding cancellation on Saturday, saying that reports of a split “are completely untrue”.

The couple were set to marry on Saturday July 28, however a statement from Usher’s publicist, Patti Webster, stated that “the wedding ceremony for Usher Raymond IV and Tameka Foster was cancelled”, with no further details given.

This lead to speculation in the media, with the New York Daily News claiming that Foster “may have balked at signing a prenup”, People magazine writing that “Usher’s mother is against the wedding”, and Perez Hilton stating that “Tameka’s days are numbered!”.

Foster told People magazine, “No one knows why we canceled the wedding, but I can tell you that all of the reasons that everyone is speculating and writing about are completely untrue.”

She also confirmed the rumor that she had checked into a hospital on Saturday following the cancellation. saying, “We had a scare. But, I am fine and the baby is fine.”
