Usher’s Rep Confirms Wife’s Surgery Complications

Usher’s rep confirmed Monday (February 9) that his wife Tameka is hospitalized after suffering complications relating to “routine surgery”.

The singer was forced to cancel an appearance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party on Saturday and raced to be by her bedside.

“Tameka Raymond is in a stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil,” his rep explained. “Her husband Usher is with her at the hospital.  No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”
