Zac Efron Done With Musicals… For Now

After starring roles in the High School Musical movies and Hairspray, Zac Efron wants to concentrate on his acting skills rather than his musical ones, for now anyway.

Talking to Marc Malkin from E! News at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Efron said, “It doesn’t mean no more musicals forever, but right now I had so much fun doing 17 Again that I think that’s the direction I wanna head in.”

The 21-year-old has just signed on to The Death & Life of Charlie St. Cloud saying, “It’s a little bit more grown up.  It deals with some heavy material.”
