Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks’ comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno has been banned in Thailand, with director Kevin Smith saying his mother is “so proud”.
The raunchy comedy, about a two friends who decide to make a porno when they can’t afford to pay the bills, was banned as it “may encourage copycats”, according to Culture Ministry permanent secretary Vira Rojpojchanara.
M Pictures, the flick’s distributors, appealed the National Film Board’s decision on Monday (April 20), however, a panel set up to review the movie stood by the banning.
Smith posted a message on Twitter about his film being banned saying, “I bring further shame to Smith name. Mom’s so proud.”
